The SDSU San Diego Campus is state-supported and is located at 5500 Campanile Drive San Diego, CA 92182 and offers 202 degree programs. Since its founding in 1897, the university has grown to become a leading public research university. Each year, the San Diego Campus provides more than 36,000 students with the opportunity to participate in an academic curriculum through its many diverse departments and interdisciplinary programs in the creative and performing arts, the humanities, the sciences, and the social and behavioral sciences.[1]

The SDSU Global Campus is self-supported and offers open university study at the main campus, providing career advancement training, personal enrichment courses, and English language programs to local, national, and international students. Classes are offered in the classroom at SDSU, at San Diego businesses, at international educational centers, and online.[2]

The SDSU Imperial Valley Campus, founded in 1959, is state-supported and is located at 720 Heber Avenue Calexico, CA 92231 and offers 10 bachelor's and two master's degree programs, including a nationally-acclaimed teacher education program. With fewer than a thousand students, the Imperial Valley Campus provides a uniquely intimate educational experience.[3]

The development of the SDSU Mission Valley Campus, located at 1 Stadium Way San Diego, CA 92108, began in 2020 and the campus will be state-supported as an addition to and expansion of the San Diego Campus. SDSU Mission Valley is designed as a vibrant, mixed-use, medium-density development that is transit-oriented, and expands the university’s educational, research, entrepreneurial, and technology transfer programs. SDSU Mission Valley will include transit, retail, housing, and the development of more than 80 acres of community parks and open space, including the 34-acre River Park.[4]

The SDSU Georgia Campus is self-supported and offers students an opportunity to receive a U.S. degree in Tbilisi, Georgia. Here students are able to earn a professionally accredited, internationally recognized U.S. bachelor’s degree in the heart of the Caucasus. San Diego State University (SDSU), along with three top Georgian universities, Tbilisi State University (TSU), Ilia State University (ISU), and Georgian Technical University (GTU) offers courses leading to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) internationally accredited bachelor’s degrees. Programs offered by the university support the development of engineering and science fields, as well as Georgia’s human capital capacity for economic growth.[5]
