Average Units at Entry

From SDSU Data Glossary
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Average Units at Entry, also known as Average Incoming Units, reflects the average number of total college units accepted for credit at Fall entry. For First-Time Freshmen the total number of units at fall entry includes any college level summer course work completed between high school and their first fall enrollment.

Logical Transformation/Calculation[edit | edit source]

The Average Units at Entry can be calculated by adding the units accepted for each student in Fall Entry Cohort and dividing that sum by the number of students in that Entry Cohort:

Average Units at Entry = Sum of entry units / Entry Cohort headcount.
