Term GPA

Term GPA is the average of all of a student's grades achieved during a particular term and is calculated as the sum of all grade points divided by the total amount of units attempted. At SDSU, GPA is calculated on a 4-point scale.

Logical Transformation/Calculation[edit | edit source]

Term GPA = Sum of all grade points earned in Term / Total units attempted in Term.

Examples[edit | edit source]

  • Students with a Term GPA of B+ have a 73% predicted probability of Graduating from SDSU department in 5 years.
  • Students with a Term GPA of A- have a 75% predicted probability of Graduating in STEM department in 5 years.
  • Students with a Term GPA of A have a 63% predicted probability of Graduating in ELECTRICAL & COMPUTER ENGR department in 6 years.
