Entry Major

Entry Major, also known as Major at Entry, refers to a student's declared major in first semester of matriculation. Students continue to be counted for retention and graduation reporting in whatever major they declared at matriculation, regardless of whether or not they may have subsequently changed their major.
Examples[edit | edit source]
If a student declared "Biology" as their major in their matriculation term and subsequently changed their major and graduated with a major in "Psychology", the student would still appear with "Biology" as their Entry Major in retention and graduation reporting.
