Visiting Faculty are paid full-time faculty appointments, for up to one academic year, for individuals from outside SDSU who are recognized in their field and whose employment at SDSU would benefit the mission of the university.

"Visiting Faculty are paid full-time faculty appointments, for up to one academic year, for individuals from outside SDSU who are recognized in their field and whose employment at SDSU would benefit the mission of the university. Appointments are temporary and non-renewable, may not exceed one academic year in duration, and may not impact the appointment of any temporary faculty member. Department or school faculty shall be involved in the review of potential visiting faculty members."[1]
