Average Transfer GPA

Average Transfer GPA is average cumulative grade point average based on transferable courses at other universities, liberal arts colleges, and community colleges across a specific cohort or group of students. Average Transfer GPA can be calculated by adding the Transfer GPAs obtained by each student in a cohort and dividing that sum by the number of Transfers in cohort.

Logical Transformation/Calculation[edit | edit source]

Average Transfer GPA = Sum of Transfer GPAs / Transfer Cohort Headcount.

Note: In the Admissions Dashboard, this information can be found under the Academics Section as Incoming GPA when New Transfers is selected as the New Student Group

"The cumulative grade point average for all transferable units attempted for a letter grade. This will be the quotient of transferable grade points and transferable units attempted for a letter grade."[1]
