Military (Affiliated) Status

Military (Affiliated) Status determines if an individual has had any active duty in the U.S. military services or if the individual is a dependent of a U.S. active duty service member.

Examples[edit | edit source]

Military Status Definition
Military An individual who is or was in the U.S. military, including active duty, National Guard, Reserves, or a Veteran discharged from military service.
Military Dependent An individual who is a dependent of a U.S. military service member, including active duty, National Guard, Reserves, or a Veteran discharged from military service.
Not Military An individual who is not affiliated with the U.S. military.

"U.S. Military Status: A code which determines if an individual has had any active duty in the U.S. military services or if the individual is a dependent of a U.S. active duty service member. U.S. Current Military Status: A code which determines if an individual is or was in the U.S. military, including active duty, National Guard, Reserves, or a Veteran discharged from military service.
