Gender (IPEDS)

Gender (IPEDS) categorizes students into binary categories of "Women" and "Men" and also displays these categories in the order they appear in IPEDS reporting. For more information, see the National Center for Education Statistics IPEDS webpage.

"IPEDS collects student data by gender in five survey components: Fall Enrollment, 12-month Enrollment, Admissions, Completions, and Graduation Rates, as well as staff data by gender in one component: Human Resources. Within these components, gender is reported using two categories: male or female."[1]
