Definition Source[edit | edit source]

"The Operations Manual for the CSU Enrollment Reporting System (ERS) is a reference document containing data definitions, record formats, data value transformations, and other reporting requirements for transmitting student-record files to the Chancellor's Office. The document also includes definitions for administrative terms plus guides for identifying common groups of new students (e.g., first-time freshman or undergraduate transfers) and other student sub-groups (e.g., part-time students). All the information is essential for proper preparation and input of campus-specific ERS data. The division of Analytic Studies at the Chancellor's Office publishes the Operations Manual. The Division of Information and Technology contributes significantly to the document by providing detailed information regarding the edit criteria imbedded within the ERS system."[1]
