Average GRE Quant/Verbal Score refers to the average GRE Quant/Verbal score of all new incoming graduate students and is used as an Academic Indicator. The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is the most commonly required admission test for grad school.[1] Much like the SAT and ACT, the GRE exam is a broad assessment of your critical thinking, analytical writing, verbal reasoning, and quantitative reasoning skills. Logical Transformation/Calculation[edit | edit source]

The Average GRE Quant/Verbal Score can be calculated by adding the GRE Quant/Verbal Scores of incoming graduates for a specific cohort and dividing that sum by the number of incoming graduates in cohort:

Average GRE Quant/Verbal Score = Sum of incoming GRE scores / Cohort headcount.
