Academic Preparation

The California State University (CSU) is committed to providing students a successful college experience and has implemented Academic Preparation measures to ensure first-time freshmen are placed in appropriate GE courses in English and math. These courses are known as written communication and mathematics/quantitative reasoning (QR). The goal is for students to be fully prepared and successful at the CSU campus they attend.

All Students:

  • Incoming GPA
  • Incoming Units

Undergraduates:

  • SAT Score
  • SAT Math Score
  • SAT Verbal Score
  • ACT Score
  • ACT Math Score
  • ACT English Score

Postbaccalaureate:

  • GRE Quant Percentile
  • GRE Verbal Percentile

Note: In the ASIR Tableau Server Dashboards, the Academic Preparation measures are averages (e.g., Avg SAT Math Score, Avg GRE Quant Percentile).
